PR SystemOne REMstar Auto A-Flex Question
Ok...so last night was my first night in almost a year of using a cpap. I just got my new systemone yesterday in the mail. Here is my question. When I woke up this morning, after keeping my mask on all night....which is a huge plus for me, I was interested in looking at my numbers. When I went into the menu the only ranges they had were 7 day averages and 30 day averages. Is there not a way to see it nightly? Also does it record to the SD card nightly? So if I have the software can I put the SD card in and check it daily? Just come questions!
Thank you!
Aaron

Re: PR SystemOne REMstar Auto A-Flex Question
The PR S1 is a great machine, but the data it shows on-screen is abysmal. Don't worry - it's all on the SD card. There are several options for viewing the data: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=64906&st=0&sk=t&sd=a
Re: PR SystemOne REMstar Auto A-Flex Question
PR SYS 1 stores a week of detailed data, trends and averages after that. SD card fits into any standard computer slot, of if no slot on your computer a cheap card reader will work. I use Encore Viewer99$, no waveform, but easy to use. Encore Pro is fussier, but has waveform. Haven't used Onkor or Sleepyhead. kathy

Re: PR SystemOne REMstar Auto A-Flex Question
Actually the PR S1 does NOT overwrite the detailed data the way the S9 does. If you look at the data files on the SD card, they stay put---at least for several months.mayondair wrote:PR SYS 1 stores a week of detailed data, trends and averages after that.
Encore Viewer will always show the detailed data for the last seven days of the selected range of dates for the Report. So if you need or want to see detailed data that is older than that, you simply need to change the date range for the report so that it ends no later than 7 days after the day you want to examine. A bit irritating at times since you can't just click on the day you want to examine, but not that bad.
The wave forms in SleepyHead and Onkor are MUCH, MUCH easier to work with since you have the ability to zoom in or out in these (free) pieces of software. SleepyHead is also much faster to download data into than Encore is.
With SleepyHead, the first time you download the data from the SD card, you'll get Detailed Reports and wave form data for ALL the days the card was in the machine recording data.
Finally it's worth knowing that the PR S1 records the events and leak data on board as well as to the SD card. The wave form is only recorded on the SD card. So if by chance you forget to put the SD card into the machine before going to bed, the S1 will copy the event and leak data back to the card when you finally do put the card back into the machine. The event data will certainly download into Encore correctly and it should download in to SleepyHead correctly. (I did have one such day recently, though, where SleepyHead just would not download the event data when there was no corresponding waveform data on card.)

Re: PR SystemOne REMstar Auto A-Flex Question
I guess it's a coincidence, I just got my new PR System One in the mail today too!
This will be my very first night with it.
I tried a 2GB PNY SD card first, actually two different PNY cards, and both said "card error."
Then I put in an 8GB Sandisk SD card next, and that seems to work without errors. The PNY cards said something like remove immediately (LOL). But when I look at the status screen for the card it says something about 47% remaining. The card is 8GB and is empty/blank.
What size SD card are you supposed to be using with the PR System One? Again the 8GB Sandisk card seems to work, but it says something about 47% remaining.

Re: PR SystemOne REMstar Auto A-Flex Question
Mine came with a 2 GB SD card. The actual data doesn't use much space at all.
Re: PR SystemOne REMstar Auto A-Flex Question
2 GB is the specified card size. I suspect the machine is an SD card interface, not an SDHC interface. SD cards are limited to 2 GB. Bigger "SD" cards are either SDHC or SDXC interface, but may work as 2 GB SD cards.Guest wrote:I tried a 2GB PNY SD card first, actually two different PNY cards, and both said "card error."

Were the PNY cards used before? Maybe you should format them and try again. Consensus seems to be that any style of 2 GB card will work. Sometimes one SD card will work with one SD device and not another.
Most PRS1 machines come with a respironics branded SD card already installed or in the packaging. Check to see if it's in there somewhere. Of course, the DME may have stolen it.

Re: PR SystemOne REMstar Auto A-Flex Question
I use mine with an 8GB card and it works fine. The brand name is Patriot.

The machine will probably only be able to use 2GB on the card, but it may work OK for those 2 GB.backdoc wrote:I use mine with an 8GB card and it works fine. The brand name is Patriot.
