Apnea index was surprisingly low with my latest test, and showed in REM sleep only (only one Rem cycle, 12 apneas were found there, mostly OSA). I have a much greater number of Hyponeas, but those are spread throughout all phases of sleep. Said that my AHI is very low, 8.2 to be precise, a far cry form the AHI of 32 I had with my first study.
My arousal rate on the other hand is unchanged with 24.
Frustratingly, CPAP does not seem to change my AHI, it may be the reverse, they on an increase, and most events are central. Once I hit a pressure of 12 or more I start to fight the 'positive' airflow. In some situations I become even dizzy.
I really need to get my sleep apneas/hyponeas and arousals under control,I really suffer from bad daytime fatigue.
Any thoughts?
All my apnea's are in REM, CPAP does not improve AHI

Yes, get the software that your machine uses and keep tract of your treatment with the dailies, then make the needed changes. i would trust my own judgement with the software over a sleep lab and doctor. My AHI was 150 per houn , and now with me controlling my treatment are under AHI 2.3. With the software you can better see problems and then correct them. Jim
