American Home Patient

Post by Severeena » Thu Jan 12, 2006 3:08 pm

I am estatic, I got a phone call from American Home Patient in regards to a letter I wrote them about the Hans Rudolph mask.

Yes they ae going to order directly from the Hans Rudolph Company.

I even talked to the warehouse man and he said there are five different sizes and I told him I knew all of that. I also told them I have been in contact with the Hans Rudolph Company and I knw my size and the size of my head gear.

If anyone is using American Home Patient and the Hans Rudolph Full Face Mask, contant the American Home Patient and tell them you need your HR mask.

Yes they do.
Here it is. http://www.ahom.com/

I know you can also get some supplies from cpap.com, but not the Hans Rudolph.

I broke the clamp assembly on my heated humidifer. All I need is the clam assembly for the 2i, but I just got a phone call stating the humidifier is still under warranty and they will replace it.

YEA?!!!!!!!!!!!

I have the service of this company also and am really thrilled with the service I have recieved from them. This was after I fired the first DME service that I had. So go good for them.

Mary I have been fighting American Home Patient ever since I got my first Hans Rudolph mask.

They kept refusing to get this mask in for me and I kept getting more determined.

I finally wrote a real harsh letter telling them off and letting them know this was the only mask for me and the reps I was trying to go through kept trying to pawn off a mask I couldn't use.

I won and now others who have been having the same problem will benefit my persistence. I cannot wait until my time is up with these people. I know I fought long and hard on this.

American Home Patient

Post by LilBuckaroo » Sat Jan 14, 2006 10:32 am

My DME is American Home Patient. I chose them because they are the only DME in the town where I live that would accept my insurance. So not much of a choice, huh?

Regardless, the people at my local office are very good, knowageable and understanding. The people at their home office called me one day and said your insurance will now cover replacement supplies. Want do you want? I asked what can I get? So, I got a new mask, hose and filters shipped via FedEx with no questions asked. I didn't really need any of these items, but they offered and the insurance was paying, so I would have been a "fool" to say, no thanks I don't want anything.

So, I now have 3 masks, 2 hoses and several filters as my disposal.

For my money, AHP is a great company.

Harold

Hi Severeena..Congratulations on AHP getting your HR mask! That's great news.

I also had American Home Patient last year, and found them to be extremely helpful ....they also got me a Hans Rudolph.

Unfortunately my insurance no longer contracts with them, so I am now dealing with Apria Healthcare....so far OK but not the same kind of service and flexibility as AHP.

I never did get the HR mask to fit and not leak...the HR people were wonderful, they sent me another size etc. But no matter what I do it leaks around the bridge of my nose. Too bad because it seems like it would be an extremely comfortable mask. Each of us is different in how a mask fits, that is for sure. HR is on the right track though.

Sleep well!

Sleepy Gal what size is your HR qand do you still have it?

I bought hubby a HR and it is to big for him and I went with the Measurement we got from a different DME. He is needing a 4 hole medium HR. Yes the HR comes with 6 or 4 holes.

Hi Severeena, unfortunately mine is a small. I had a medium, but donated it to our local sleep lab!

I keep taking it out every once in a while in hopes that I can tweak it somehow as it would be so comfortable.

Take care,

Nan

Sleepy Gal, I bet anything you are needing the Extra-small if the Small is still to big.

How long have you had this mask?

I will PM you on some info.

Just wanted to say I have AHP too and love them. THey are the only company my insurance will cover. I have had very few problems with them and they are great to deal with the one lady there knows my voice when I call if she answers lol...I get whatever I need/want whenever pretty much. I did have the prob getting the CC though as they dont carry it and I had to keep bugging them abotu I needed one so they finally ordered me one elsewhere or something but I finally got it...Glad to see that everyone else likes them as well...

I broke one of the latches on the plastic water tank Friday in all that bad wearther we were having:oops: . I called the AHP office in Racine and the lady called me back saying I had a one year warranty and to bring in the heated humidifier in and they will repalce it.

Not bad. I am going to the office on Monday.

If I could have fixed that little plastic clamp I wouldn't have had to leave the house AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
