Help w/Comfortfull & Mirage FF

Post by mongobvi » Wed Jan 11, 2006 9:21 pm

Hello. My question(s) may have been addressed somewhere, but I haven't found it searching the posts. So, here it goes. As with most people, I've gone through several masks. Went from mirage swift, to ultra mirage nasal to ultra mirage ff and a comfortfull. Fullface works best for me.

Q1 -UltraMirage fits ok, but I the forehead support is too wide and too far from my forehead. It keeps getting knocked off (only thing I haven't tried is the cpap pillow). For the air that escapes by design, it is much quieter than the comfortfull. Has anybody come up w/a solution to adjusting the forehead support? Does anyone know if a resmed forehead support from another model is narrower and flatter?

Q2 - Comfortfull fits better with less headgear pressure, but the air escaping from the vent is too bloody loud. Any ideas. I'm thinking about taping over the vent and drilling several slightly larger holes in the mask (maybe larger holes won't be as noisy).

Thanks.

May want to check your comfortfull for leaks around the mask where the membrane attatches to the mask. I noticed mine started to leak there and became very loud. Duct tape made it a lot quieter.
