Bizarre lockout on my S9 Autoset

Post by Chitowndude » Sat May 07, 2011 9:20 am

Recently got an S9 autoset. I got a hold of the Resmed 3.14 software (yup, these are all over the torrent sites now for download) and put in my card and saw my data. Just for the heck of it, I tweaked my settings on the card and plugged it back into the S9 and voila! The new settings were uploaded to the S9. It's nice to have the option when I look at my data to adjust my settings on the card and then just plug it back into the machine without having to open the clinician menu. The problem- all my settings in the clinical menu (on the S9 unit) are now locked!! As you open the clinician menu on the S9 unit, the left hand column shows the little locks are now locked. I can't figure out how to unlock them. I can still change settings on my computer when I remove the SD card and plug it into my cardreader on my PC, but I can't unlock the clinician menu items through the clinician menu on the S9?!

Anyone have any ideas?

Ask someone to send you a pdf of the S9 AutoSet's Clinicians Manual. You may need to unlock the LCD data access thru the software. I haven't "graduated" to the S9 and 3.14 software, I'm still w/the S8 VPAP Auto and ResScan 3.10.

What if you remove the SD card, can you then access the clinician's menu?

Have you checked the clinician's manual for ResScan? It is stored with the other ResScan files on your computer.

We never got an answer whether the software can lock you out of the clinician's menu on an S9 once you take the SD card out of the machine. Has anyone else been locked out of the menu if they take the card out or insert a blank SD card?

You can download a full, legal version from Resmed: http://www.resmed.com/int/assets/html/s ... c=patients

The version you dowload from Resmed contains the manual - you'll find the manual's pdf in the same subdirectory where you had the resscan.exe installed.

Are you sure the clinical menu is locked? And if it is, did you look in the software for the option that locked it?
