They said download the data and take to the provider to check the leak rate. A high leak rate can cause the unit to shut down. Hmmm.

Without smartstart enabled, I doubt this is true. When I first got my S9, I ran it for three or four hours to blow the new smell out of the tubing, and even though there was nothing to impede the flow, the machine didn't shut off.

I'd just download ResScan and check it myself. Or if ResScan won't install on your OS, use EDF Browser.

Or perhaps you can check the leak rate in the clinicians' menu on your machine.

When I clean my CPAP hose, I let it dry for a few hours then hook it up to the machine, turn it on and run it for around 2 hours with out a mask on. It turns off only when I push the button. Autostart may change that.
