The hoot owls who require that treatment platform:
BiPAP autoSV Advanced is designed for patients who have mixed apneas, complex apneas, periodic breathing, or central apnea.

Those with complicated situations that aren't solved with cpap or bipap care a lot about new and advanced equipment.

I just now saw this. Now I know why my DME was more than happy to swap out my BiPAP S/T yesterday for an autoSV Advanced model. Clearing out their old inventory!

Hmmm, my insurance decided to do monthly rental for my unit. Mostly, I think, to avoid having to cover it 100% since I met the $5000 deductable with my sleep studies last year. If this turns out to be really really neat-O cool; I may ask to "rent" that one instead. But, really BrianinTN, we have a good unit.

Edit: OK, this...
detailed patient-flow waveform data.
sounds sort-a cool.
EPAP min=6, EPAP max=15, PS min=3, PS max=12, Max Pressure=30, Backup Rate=8 bpm, Flex=0, Rise Time=1,
90% EPAP=7.0, Avg PS=4.0, Avg bpm 18.3, Avg Min vent 9.2 Lpm, Avg CA/OA/H/AHI = 0.1/0.1/2.1/2.3 ... updated 02/17/12

Oh, I know we do. The waveforms are the only thing I care about, actually. I had them on my System One REMstar Auto A-Flex, and they were cool to look at. It isn't a big deal, though. And there's no guarantees that they haven't made some changes in the algorithms which could make the new System One ASV not work quite as well for some patients. I like that form factor a lot better, and it's certainly a lot easier for travel, but it isn't a big deal I suppose.
