I just remembered I don't have sleep apnea

Post by Sireneh » Tue Apr 19, 2011 4:56 pm

I have UARS but my sleep doc uses the term sleep apnea as kind of an umbrella (I think it makes insurance companies easier to deal with also.)

In my sleep study my AHI was 0.7, while my RERA index was 21.5, for a total RDI of 22.2 events per hour (described in the report as "moderate sleep disordered breathing with sleep fragmentation that could be targeted with treatment to improve quality of sleep and daytime symptoms.")

Sooo... how valuable would buying software and evaluating my numbers be? I think I read here recently that there's a machine out there that claims to detect RERAs. Otherwise, the numbers really aren't that relevant for me, are they?

Thanks for being here. I'm learning so much!

OK, I found the thread: viewtopic/t63092/s9-in-auto---does-it-a ... RERAs.html which references yet another thread, so I've got some breathing to do. (Ha ha! I just re-read this before sending it. Freudian slip there; I meant I have some READING to do!)

Any comments about the software question would be appreciated, though!

The other info that software tracks can be just as relevant as the AHI. Leaks lines for instance can be instrumental in problem solving.
