Question on ResCan - Events data - box w/number

Post by Eddie B » Sun Apr 17, 2011 6:17 am

When I look at my detailed data I see what type of "Events" I have during the night. Each obstructive event is shown with a box with a number in it. What does that number mean? Is it duration in seconds that the event lasted? What does the CPAP machine do differently during this time. Thanks..

Yes, it is the number of seconds in the box.

Yes.

In the case of a S9 Elite, basically there is nothing significantly different.

Cheers,

Bill

Red bars with a box with a number in it are obstructive apneas and the number indicates the length of the apnea in seconds. The height of the bar also indicates the length of the event.

Black bars with a box with a number in it are clear airway (possible central) apneas and the number indicates the length of the apnea in seconds. The height of the bar also indicates the length of the event.

Little blue boxes at the bottom line of the Events graph indicate hypopneas. For reasons only Resmed understands, the length of the hypopneas is not shown in ResScan.
