My first month's stats

Post by dusty0318 » Mon Apr 11, 2011 8:45 am

Went to the DME to let them download my data card and got a copy of my results. I'm showing a medial leak rate of 9.6 l/min, AHI is 7 with apnea index of 1.1 and hypopnea index of 6. My average daily usage was 8.25 hours with only 2 days under 4 hours.

Not too bad for a first month is it?

Your hypopnea's seam high and an AI of 1.1 is low (not to many centrals). You may end up needing a little pressure boost. You're doing great on the hours!!

Is that AHI number an overall average from past 30 days? If so, it also includes the nights when things weren't going so well. Can you access numbers from say just last night to see what is going on? That would be a better indicator than an average that includes when you first started and was getting used to stuff and probably had a lot of leaks.

If it was a single night result that was recent.. then there is some room for improvement.

These are monthly stats, so I'm assuming they're averages. It says the AHI and AI are event/hour.

No I can't access last night. I don't know how. I don't have a data card reader or any of the software and am not in a position to purchase them.

http://www.apneaboard.com/CPAP%20Adjustment.htm

Check this link above for how to get to clinician menu so you can access the data that is available to you on screen.
Look at the S8 instructions since I think your machine is based on the S8. If that doesn't help scroll down and look for instructions on how to request the clinician manual for your machine via email. Make sure you follow directions exactly and you will get the manual in pdf format and for sure will see how to access the on screen data. Make sure that you request exactly which machine you use.

There is actually quite a bit of data available on screen so you don't have to get that expensive card reader to use with the software.
