Vanity, thy name is me.

Post by TalonNYC » Sun Apr 10, 2011 8:58 am

Alright, after reading my own last Blowdown post, I realized that I had to make some changes for this therapy to work. So, I shaved off the goatee. Leaving the mustache, which I've had since my teens, but the goatee has gone.

This should let the FFM seal, solve the mouth-breathing problems, and give me a better incentive to lose weight =)

Now that's what I call a commitment!

Yeah, you clean up nice. Better start looking for a big stick; you get any more fit, and you'll need it.

Your avatar does look a lot like you even without the goatee.

My one son has always worn the goatee thing so understand where you are coming from (sort of since I am female).

Didn't get the before shot on that one - did you have a mustache?

Not so much a mustache as a full beard

Maybe I can find some time to dig around for a before pic...

I gave up the handlebars on my mustache.

It wasn't about vanity,
it was about brain cells.

Easy choice.

I'll never have to worry about mustaches and gotee. Agreed, that takes some commitment to shave it off.
I applaud you men that have done so in the name of better living! Cheers to ya

Sounds less like 'vanity' and more like 'sanity'. If you couldn't get a good seal with a goatee and you can without one, that's just good sense. Way to go.

It appears to be working. Leak rate was 0 yesterday and 4.0 last night. 4.0 is the lowest I've had in the month of therapy so far!
