rescan data 1st night

Post by dbblet » Sat Apr 09, 2011 4:49 pm

Help,
readout says .6 ahi for the 9 hours on the machine. I have been diagnosed at ahi 25 in the study. pressure prescribed at 16. set at 6 to 20 but averaged only 9, max at 12 and woke 3 times. Is this .6 realistic?

It would be realistic as long as any leak was well under control.
Large leaks, over machines ability to compensate, may also impair the machines ability to score data.
What was leak number?

While it is rare for sleep study to be that far off, I suppose they could especially if there was some positional apnea involved. Example, you are much worse sleeping on your back (the way they like to do the study, sort of worse case scenario) and you spent most of your time at home on your side.
