Looking for forum readers opinions on dental devices for OSA? A local dentist has an add for Full Breath Sleep Therapy and uses a mouth appliance. Google shows several models Thornton Adjustable Positioner (TAP) , there is Somnodent etc. Pugsy says there has been talk on the forum before but I am looking for an update.
I was wondering if one of these dental appilances would effectively work as a replacement for a FFM or nose pillow? Or perhaps, maybe a dental device could be used to in conjunction with a CPAP machine to relieve OSA. I am looking for something that would help with my jaw drop and resulting mouthbreathing. Wish I could replace my uncomfortable chinstap/ Papcap so could comfortably use my nose pillow Swift FX . Right now I am struggling to find a Full Face Mask that will not leak.
Dental Devices vs. Cpap or with CPAP Opinions?
Re: Dental Devices vs. Cpap or with CPAP Opinions?
I can respond to this. The dental appliance works "along with" mask and cpap. Doesn't replace it.
