ResScan and S9 and DLS problem HELP

Post by bayourest » Wed Mar 16, 2011 4:25 am

this a m I looked at my results on Sleep Quality screen and saw 6.8 hrs, 4.5 AHI mr smiley face on the screen....pushed the buttons to get Sleep Report AI etc and the time was 3.8 hrs
I then put the card into ResScan and have no data for 2 days (it seemed normal on Monday and March 15 data is there). It shows 0 hrs of usage etc. Everything seemed normal yesterday on the S9 screens Tuesday as I recall but I did not download so ??

something is really messed up and I am not sure how to get it back to reality.
I plan to call the dme today in any case because if they are somehow going to monitor compliance for insurance purposes this is not good. I am actually 100% compliant.

hi williamson
I think you go to user control panel in the top left of the screen below the search panel and there are options there.

bayourest, I had a similar, if not the same, problem twice. The first time, unplugging the power cord to the S9 fixed it. The second time required a new machine.

The last date you will see in the Browser today is the 15th. The date in the Browser is the date of the afternoon of the noon-to-noon xPAP day. If you have not yet had a mask session that began after noon today, the 16th, or if you have one already but have not d/l'd it into Resscan, there is no March 16 data in Resscan. If you ever get to looking at the files in the SD card DATALOG folder, every file that has a time stamp between 000000 and 115959 (midnight to noon) belongs to the day before the date stamp on it. For example, in my data these two files, 20110312_231322_BRP.edf and 20110313_031800_BRP.edf both belong to March 12. Savvy??

plugging and unplugging the machine appears to have re-calibrated the screens on the S9. I have not downloaded yet. Whatever the dates, I should have had 2 days data to download yesterday and I only had 1....so I will see what happens when I next download.

Stating the obvious in the sense of debugging the situation:

Are you sure the SD card was completely inserted into the machine after your last download?

It's easier to forget to push that card all the way in than you'd think, and "card not all the way in" = "no new data on card".

The fix is to stick the card all the way in. The machine will then write the missing data to the card. You'll get the summary data for the missing night, but not the wave flow and detailed data for the night if I recall correctly.

This is probably not the real answer, but it is an obvious step that should be checked out.
