So sorry you are so miserable. While it will pass, the time can seem soooooo long. Sending a little prayer and a pat on the back your way and hoping that things start to get better real soon.

I had a cold a couple months ago, it really sucked! I couldn't stand using the CPAP and ended up staying awake for two nights until I finally took some decongestant. I avoid pills, but I ended up needing them for a couple nights just to get some rest.

Yeh - you and a whole lot of us

I know it can be hard to breath through the mouth when we have got used to breathing through the nose, especially when we are feeling sick. Trying it before you go to bed might help you get used to it.

cheers

I hope you're feeling a bit better by now. CPAP and colds are horrible. My own personal treatment if I don't need to go to the doc is 2 paracetamol every 4 hours, as much non-alcoholic drink as I can manage and turn up the humidifier at night. I also put a tissue with a DROP of Olbas Oil - a commercial blend of eucalyptus and other oils - close to the air intake of the machine. (And to be honest sometimes take a little tot of something strong just before putting the machine on!) If you feel like trying this, I hope it will help you as much as it does me. Get better soon.

Poor baby! I hope you feel better soon.

I just got over my second bout of bronchitis, so I can sympathize. The FF mask (even if a bit leaky) was the saving grace--with the humidity cranked up I slept pretty well at night. After nearly a lifetime of sitting up in a recliner and NOT sleeping when sick, this was a very nice bonus to CPAP. But I did have one runny nose sneezy night when I just couldn't use the CPAP at all.

As soon as you stop sneezing and being really gooey, slap that puppy on your face with the humidity and try to sleep--it really helps, even if you have to hold it there with panty hose or nylons tied around your head.
