HELP NEED SUGGESTION FOR CPAP MACHINE FEATURES
Does anyone out there know of a CPAP machine that has the technology that senses how much pressure you need and gives it to you when you need it (and not breathing on your own) and then reduces it greatly when you start breathing again?????

Do you mean an APAP?

CPAP with Automatic features
Re: HELP NEED SUGGESTION FOR CPAP MACHINE FEATURES
The machine you are using as shown in your profile is an auto unit. What are the settings? Minimum and maximum. It can do what you ask but the minimum needs to be near enough to the pressure needed to prevent events to be effective. APAP can have a range of 4 cm to 20 cm. So much lower pressures can be used when no event precursors are detected. It can be used at 4 cm of pressure which is very little pressure. Only problem if you need 10 or 12 to stop the events, the machine may take too long to get to that pressure. They change pressure gradually because to go from 4 to 10 in a split second can be hugely disturbing to someones sleep. Blast of air pressure can cause someone to wake up..... So the changes will occur but maybe not fast enough to suit you.
With more time and experience, you will be able to adjust to these pressures.

Yep. A fully data capable APAP (auto PAP) or a fully data capable VPAP Auto or fully data capable BPAP Auto.
And to a lesser degree: a CPAP w/EPR, a CPAP w/C-Flex, a CPAP w/I've forgotten what DeVilbiss calls their expiration pressure relief feature.

Could you please check your machine shown in your profile and compare it to what you have in front of you? The machine you show in your profile has been discontinued for quite some time. Let's make sure what machine you are using now.
Humidifier is likely different also.
Since you are new to all this I suspect that you have the PR System 1 Remstar Auto and not the Remstar Auto with CFlex that is shown.
See if your machine looks like this. There are several models available.
