Another back up power question

Post by geojr » Thu Mar 10, 2011 12:46 pm

Hi all,

I know there are quite a few threads on the subject. I looked them over, and am just wondering..

I plan on getting one of those power supplies that you keep plugged in, and can also be used to jump a car.

Most of them seem to have both AC and DC outlets on them. My machine will run off DC although I do not have a cord for it.

So my question... Would it be any different running off AC or DC? Would one last longer? I am thinking DC would last longer?

Thanx for any info,
geo

What machine do you have? Will it run on 12V? You can go to Radio Shack and purchase the proper connector. It will last longer on DC than A/C so use DC if you are able.

Thank you for the reply.

Machine is a PB GoodKnight 420g. Instructions says it can be ran with DC with just a cord.

I can get this cord at Radio Shack? What do I need to know to go buy one?

Thank you for any info.
