Why?
Why?
Why is it that one night I can have a great sleep, with few if any leaks, and then the next night, with nothing different, there are leaks everywhere and I awaken every hour or so!!??! I wash the mask and wash my face -- but no adjustments or differences between the two nights. I'm getting quite discouraged! Anyone else have this problem? What to do..

Re: Why?
I haven't licked this yet myself; I'll be checking on this thread for my answer, too.
Thanks for squeaking up.

Re: Why?
It is that dang Cpap Fairy. Every once in a while he sprinkles us with leak dust.

Re: Why?
I've been quite lucky so far with leaks but have noticed that I need to be careful after washing the mask. I have missed engaging the lower fasten between my gel cushion and the plastic frame and then have LOTS of leaks. I am now very careful about how I put things back together and this helps a great deal.
I do agree with the CPAP Fairy being the cause sometimes - I am sure there were times I did put things together correctly and still had more leaks than normal.

Dang CPAP fairy!!
But seriously... I always check that the interface is securely snapped onto the frame, but this still happens...

Re: Why?
This has started happening to me too! My mask worked w/out leaks the first week and then *poof*. Last night I just tied a bandana around my head and the mask so I could get some sleep!

Re: Why?
Try "wiping down the mask with wipes on daily basis. Use non alcohol wipes with no aloe (I use pamper thick wipes for sensitive skin). The wash the mask with baby shampoo on the weekend only. That way the strap adjustment is minimal.

I've done that, too. Thanks for the suggestion!
