Administrators: Equipment pick-lists

Post by Mark NJ » Sun Feb 27, 2011 12:52 pm

Hi guys,
I have a Resperonics APAP. Its markings are: REMstar Auto A-Flex.
It's humidifier's markings are: System One.

I don't find an exact match on the xPAP and humidifier pick-lists for the markings on my xPAP and humidifier.

I see slightly different marks on the bottom of the two devices:

xPAP: REMstar Auto [REF] 550P
Humidifier: REMstar Heated Humidifier [REF] 1056215

Unfortunately, none of these markings matches exactly any of the selections on the drop-down lists.

I'd like to comply with the forum's convention for publishing my equipment; however, my first attempt to guess seems to have failed.

If my markings conform to one of the existing selections could you please tell me which listings to select?

If my markings appear to be a new model not yet in your pick-lists, could you please add these selections?

Sorry if I'm dense; it seems as though Respironics might be a bit clearer about their markings and model designations.

thanks
Mark

Welcome to the forum! Im not sure about my answer but you can double check. Remstar auto is cflex that uses a different humidifier. It also uses an older version of encore. The new model is respironics one with aflex and uses a system one humidifier and uses encore 2 software. In the equipment pick list you can choose the one with pictures first to compare what you actually have because the two apaps look entirely different.

Mark, looks like you have PRSys 1 auto, a very good machine! kathy
Any landing you walk away from is a good one; if you don't break your airplane it's excellent.

You are not dense! It seems that machine manufacturers name their machines the same as they introduce newer models. After a few new models are introduced, everyone gets confused! I've been through 3 Respironics model changes and they are were all called "Remstar Auto" and they just added something to differenciate the model - like "M Series" and now "System One".

I would guess that, from what you have said, that you have the PR System One Remstar Auto with A- Flex and the matching humidfier for that model. If you get software, you need Encore Viewer 2 or Encore Pro 2. With the M Series it was Encore Viewer 1, just to further confuse us!

This is likely what you have. With maybe a minor change in model. The PR system one auto with AFlex choice in equipment profile is close enough
https://www.cpap.com/cpap-machine/respi ... -flex.html

This is likely your humidifier
Again look for PR System one in the equipment choice menu to find it.

Have to scroll down the equipment lists to find the PR section

OK, thanks everyone. I reset my equipment. Don't understand the "PR". I give up. As long as the pictures match and you guys say this is the selection then that's what I'll record.

Confirms my beleif that identifiers should be meaningless numbers.
