High Pressure & Large Leaks

I currently use a ComfortGel, but I do have leak problems. Probably due to being a mouth-breather. The chin strap helps, but my sinuses become irritated easily, which probably causes my mouth to open. I take an antihistamine and a decongestant about an hour before bed, and also use Nasonex, in an effort to tame the sinus problem.

My numbers with the ComfortGel average about 16-18 AHI with an Apnea Index about 2.

My initial AHI was about 45 until I changed the Backup Rate from 15 to Auto.

I tried an Ultra Mirage Full Face Mask. I had no large leaks and a lower overall leak average. However, my AHI shot up to 41, the Apnea Index was 28 and my periodic breathing nearly tripled to 23%.

Anyone have any suggestions? I am thinking of trying the SoftGel Mirage Nasal Mask.

I started with a FFM but couldn't get it to stop leaking without tightening the straps so hard I would wake up in pain. I tried nasal pillows for a while but couldn't stop mouth breathing. I switched back the FFM but this time tried the Liberty and the InnoMed Hybrid. Had better luck with the hybrid. It's now my mask of choice and leaks are no longer a significant problem. YMMV.

I experienced same problem as yours with leaky FF mask , the rebounding effect of nasal medication make things worse that in the end you get more congestion ,i use nelimed nasal rinse twice a day which helping with nose dryness .
