How often do you replace your mask pillows?

Post by Jaylee » Sat Feb 05, 2011 5:28 pm

I wont bother with a poll because there are probably a ton of various answers.

I just got new inserts for my mask yesterday. I have probably had my mask for going on six months now. Just curious how often you replace yours.

I have a hybrid, but I've never replaced the pillows. However, I don't use it very often.

Dear Jaylee,

My husband's cushion for his Quatro just goes and goes...used the same one for 5 months and then I chose to replace it. My Swift FX nasal pillows, however, vary. I replace them about every 3 months but there was one that I needed to replace sooner because it seemed to get thin and collapse easily.

Best regards,

Jersey Girl

I replace my nasal pillows when they start to leak for no other apparent reason. Some lasts months, others just weeks....... I always keep extras readily available at home and in my travel bag.

I get about 3 weeks out of a set of pillows. When I first started I was using Lanosih on my nose every nite and the pillows seem to last a short time. Now that I guess my skin has gotten use to the pillows I get maybe a month.

I use the Swift LT for her and change out my pillows every 2 weeks. They do start to lead right about that 2 week period.

If money were no object, I would replace my Hybrid's nasal pillows and cushion at least once every two months. As it is, I keep it for around 4 months.

I get mine from Liberty, before I got them from Cpap.com. I get new pillows every three months, and new head gear every six months. With my Mirage Swift II they are a pain in the back side to replace, so usually when the new mask arrives I change everything.
