I've been using my BiPAP for about 1 year now. After seeing my sleep study results, which showed an AI/AHI of 93, I accepted the inevitable and have used the machine every night. At first, I noticed an improvement in my daytime wakefulness. Before using the BiPAP, if I allowed myself to do so, I could doze off at anytime and anywhere. In the last month, however, I started some of the old tiredness has returned. Have you had this experience? If so, what did you do to address it? Thank you.
[I've checked the machine and the pressure, leak rate and AHI have remained about the same over this time]
Tired Again
Re: Tired Again
I would set an appointment with my Internist, MD, NOT because of the AHI but b/c of: In the last month, however, I started some of the old tiredness has returnedBrianL wrote:I've been using my BiPAP for about 1 year now. Re: Tired Again
did something else change in your life?
weight change, stress? Have you changed your pillows or filters recently?

Re: Tired Again
Checking with your doctor is a good idea just to make sure nothing else is going on. It could also mean you need an adjustment in therapy also.

Re: Tired Again
Take a careful look at all the data, not just the AHI.
This happened to me and my AHI numbers looked great, but when we looked at the pressure graphs it was clear that I needed a bump up in pressure (as seen by my pressure staying up at the upper limit a good portion of the night). As soon as we increased my pressure, I felt better again.

Re: Tired Again
Thanks for the suggestions. I will schedule an appointment to follow up with my doctor.
