Large leak - machine off??

Last night I recorded my first large leak in almost 10 months of use. Don't know why - same mask, same straps. Looking at the report it appears that the machine turned itself off for a few minutes after reaching 100%. There had been other times of large leak during the night but not quite that high - it then turned back on.
Is this what happens when you get a long time with a large leak?
I slept through it all (33 minutes of LL in total) and the AHI was 0.1 for the night - lowest reading for a few weeks!

On your machine type there is an "Auto On" and "Auto Off" feature. If the "Auto Off" is set to "On" it will turn the pressure off if their is a very large leak exceeding a predefined magnitude (I don't know the exact rate), which it will interpret as the mask being off your face so it doesn't keep blowing unnecessarily. The "Auto On" will turn the pressure on when it detects you breathing through the mask. I personally don't like the "Auto Off" feature and set mine to "Off". I leave the "Auto On" feature on because I don't have to lean over to turn my machine on after I get the mask on and situated, also I figure I have a shot at continuing after a short power failure if I haven't already taken my mask off. If the leaks you are experiencing are not truly large and long you may have a problem with your machine and should get it checked out. Hope this helped.
