Resmed S9 no longer showing Apneas

Post by OzStag » Thu Jan 20, 2011 12:36 am

Hi,
I have two S9's - one at home & one on my boat which I use most weekends.

My home one has suddenly stopped showing apneas on the ResScan3 reporting software.

Anyone else had this occur?

I got a 0 reading one time and got very excited. Then it happened for the next two consecutive nights and I realized somthing was wrong. I deleted all the data on the SD card and started all over again. Haven't had a problem since.

I did just that the other day but have not used it since so I hope it works for me too.

I had this happen where I had a week with no AHI... I unplugged the machine and then back in, and it started showing more normal data again.

When people say they have no AHI on their S9 where are they looking?

Events are shown on the machine's display, on the statistics summary and in the detailed data.

I've lost events on the detailed data before due to a currupt SD card before. But the only time I've lost them in all three places is when i get an AHI of 0.0

For me, I noticed it a couple of days on the display so I uploaded the data into the software and found it was 0.0 there for about a week. It's not unusual for me to have a day here and there with 0.0, but not days in a row like this. Since the software was able to read the card and the rest of the data, I ruled out a corrupt card. Also, after I restarted the machine, I went back to more normal readings of 0.5 or so. It is entirely possible that I really did have a week of 0.0 AHI and that it coincidentally changed back to more normal averages after the day I restarted the machine... I'll never really know for sure

I think some strange occurences I have occasionally noticed have been software glitches. I feel the machine works good.john
