On this machine can one read and determine their AHI... or can that only be done by your clinician and the software he/she uses to read the recorded data?

If it is possible to read this kind of data on this machine... would appreciate knowing the steps takes to do so.

Thanks..

Google sleepnationtv.com too. They have a great video that demonstrates the menu functions.

You need the Resmed ResScan software. It's around here somewhere

Does software work on a Mac or only Windows?

It's designed for Windows. Some apple OS users have reported using it with Virtual Box which you can download from sun microsystsems. Apparetnly this lets you load windows software and let it use the ports on your machine.

Thanks, Uncle_Bob

Probably easier for me to go to the Windows side of my Intel iMac which I created as I made the transition form PC to Mac.

Another question:

I found out how (from the above feedback) to obtain some of the Data from the Resmed S9 on either daily, weekly, monthly basis: AHI, Leaks, Average Air Pressure, Total AI, Central AI...
What additional information will the software offer that would be pertinent to my understanding of my condition? And is there way that I can find out which of the apneas that occurred were Respiratory Event Related Arousals (RERA) ?

The manual states "Windows 2000 SP2 (or greater), Windows XP, Windows Vista Business or Windows Vista Home Premium."
But it can also run on Windows 7 32 or 64 bit versions

For using the software on a Mac... I use a Parallel's virtual machine and it works fine--just need to select the "internal card reader" on the Parallel's USB menu to get the virtual machine to recognize the device to read in the data. Others have reported success with VMWare Fusion as well.

No, I'm good in terms of the software. I just simply installed it on the portion of my Intel drive that I have dedicated and set up windows. What I am curious about - given that I can read specific data straight from S9 - what additional info does the software offer? And are the steps to accessing the the info within the software self-evident?

Thanks - Alex
