I lost my memory card, what do I do? Urgent

Post by LARS929 » Fri Jan 14, 2011 8:17 pm

Please go to the last post of mine, this is sort of urgent.

So I went to my sleep doctor yesterday and brought my SD card with me. Somehow I lost it during the day and I have no Idea if I will be able to find it. I think it fell out of my pocket during the day. I know horrible job by me. Anyways I am curious how big of a deal this is? I slept last night with no card and the machine still worked and was at the right pressure for me. Will this change if I go a number of nights without the card? or if I unplug it?

Also can I just buy an SD card online somewhere and have my doctor put the information on it?

Go to your local walmart or electronics store and buy a 2GB SD card. They should be around $10. You could also call your DME and ask them to provide the card. However the same SD Card that is used in cameras and such can be use for your machine.

There is no Respironics S8...That's a Resmed....and besides, his profile shows a S9.

According to the Clinical Guide for ResScan:

On the ResMed S9 AutoSet, Summary Data is available from the Flow Generator, up to 365 sessions. Detailed data (up to 7 days) is on the SD Card, which must be in the flow generator during sleep session to record it.

On the ResMed S8 AutoSet II, both the Summary Data and Detailed Data (up to 5* days) is recorded to the Flow Generator. The card is not left in the flow generator during sleep sessions, and only inserted to download data. *Edited to correct, from 3 days

So all I need to do is get a card, any card and put it in the machine? No formatting needed? If so that would be great news!

BeachGirl, you can get the Summary Data and the Statistics for several months - BUT - there is a very limited number of days of DETAILED data the various models can put on the data card. The VPAP Auto its just 2 nights of DETAILED data which is what WE are interested in. Seems to me, if I remember right, the S8 Elite and S8 AutoSet Vantage held up to 4-5 nights of DETAILED data.

Where did you get the the ResScan 3.10?
I'll need it for the S9 Elite that I am going to receive.
The Resmed S8 Autoset II does not provide detailed data. Only compliance.
As I understand it:

Some of the S8 could use ReScan 3.7 software but this software is not available any more on the market. So you need to use the elongated data card and take it to the Doc or the DME to read it.

This is the elongated card:

https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... -card.html

These are the options for S8 and S9:

http://www.resmed.com/us/assets/documen ... ow_eng.pdf

The S9 AutoSet and S9 Elite use the SD card and to use it you also need the ResScan 3.10. But Resmed supplies this software ONLY to clinicians.

How did this poster, in England, got such nice graphs by using the 3.7 software:

avi,
your autoset does so produce detailed data. It might not be setup to do so, but it does produce it.

Hi, I see only these four parameters data output on the S8 AutoSet II. And then you need a ResScan 3.7 to read the card:

Data storage
Data includes: usage, pressure,
leak and AHI statistics
Via ResScan Data Card: 180 sessions of
summary data, five sessions of detailed data
Via PC cable: 365 sessions of summary data,
five sessions of detailed data.
Data also available via the LCD menu
High resolution data: five sessions of flow
data recorded at 25Hz with S8 ResLink

I have an S8 Autoset II that I use occasionally and I definitely get daily data...AHI, AI, HI, Leak, 95% Pressure etc.
Avi...Your profile says that you have the S8 ESCAPE II...NOT THE AUTOSET...that model does not give detailed data!!!!!!!
