Can you make yourself a heads-up Back sleeper only?

Post by bbmiller » Thu Jan 13, 2011 1:45 am

Hello
I know they sell pillows to get yourself off your back as an alternative or addition to CPAP therapy. But I have not seen any pillows or devices to make yourself sleep on your back. From reading the reports generated by my CPAP machine I am thinking my mask leaks with my full face mask when I turn my head to the side. I am generally a heads-up back sleeper, but I do think I turn my head to the side occasionally. Is there anyway to make myself a heads-up back sleeper only?

If there is, I would like to know where to get one... I too am a back sleeper who occasionally turns her head to the side/sleeps on the side.

I understand what you're trying to do, but I wonder if you've talked about it with a doctor to be sure about other possible consequences with your neck (there is so much going on there anatomically, front to back) that could be affected by being held only in one position all night, every night. I would want to do that with a neurologist and/or ENT doctor. I know it seems pretty innocuous, but it might be worth looking into.
