how do you get all that data?
how do you get all that data?
I am still new to all of this-started Dec 13th. I keep reading posts about various numbers and data. How are you getting all of that information? Is it automatically available or do you have to have a certain xPAP machine or ...? I will get info from my sleep doc in a couple of months, but until then, how can I tell how I am doing?

On-board memory has been added to the CPAP as well as storing information on a generic SD Memory card and reads through any SD card reader. Use EncoreViewer Software to monitor therapy effectiveness through a series of reports. A new Patient Flow and Event report enables users to view a weekly breakdown on per-breath basis. Patient data is used to identify particular conditions and events with specific colors.

Re: how do you get all that data?
I have the machine you list in your profile and I bought Encore Viewer 2 from cpap.com for $99. Your machine comes with an SD memory card and, with this software installed on your computer, you get all that detail - events, AI, HI, VS, CA, AHI, leak rate-- from that card.
You can read the card with any card reader. I use the one on my printer. If you don't have a card reader you would need to buy that too. Cpap.com has a bundle with the software and a card reader. Card readers are not expensive. I can get daily detailed data or weekly or monthly - whatever I want.
I use it to see how my therapy is going and whether or not a little tweaking or working on mask leaks would improve my cpap therapy. Well worth $99!

How do you feel?
If you feel better, but the data says you had a bunch of obstructions and leaks... will you still feel better?
Just don't let the data rule you.
