Breathe Right Strips & nasal pillows?

Post by SleepingUgly » Sat Jan 08, 2011 12:23 pm

Anyone able to use Breathe Right Strips with nasal pillows, or do the strips just increase leaks?

For me, it just increased leaks, but I have narrow (slotted) nares. I couldn't get any pillow sizes to work with them.

I have moderately slotted nares. I'm able to use Optilife pillows (which are ovoid) without BreatheRights. However, BreatheRights change my nares to a rounder shape and the pillows fit better, i.e. I can loosen the straps somewhat.

I use BR Strips every night with my LT pillows.... very few leaks, if at all, and those that do occur are usually due to other reasons.

I have used Breathe Right Strips a couple times and never had any problems with extra leaks. I used them when my nose felt a little stuffy it seemed to help.

I use medium breath right strips with the medium nasal pillows on my liberty mask. I think if I go by their sizing chart I should use large pillows but they don't fit well at all, even with strips.

Without the nose strip, the medium pillows don't set nearly quite so well and I get more leaks, but they do work.
