S9 Autoset

Post by cybergoon » Thu Jan 06, 2011 1:07 pm

I ordered a new S9 Autoset with the Climateline Heated Hose and after 3 weeks, it has finally arrived! I have already downloaded the software and Clinician's Manuals.

I have type 2 diabetes and it has gotten away from me the past year and I have gained quite a bit of weight. I'm currently around 280lbs and my blood sugars have been running in the mid to upper 200's and once in a while, over 300. My fiance is pretty scared for my life and has been pushing me to make some changes.

I decided that this is my year to get back on track. I started Weight Watchers with my fiance on Sunday. I'm going to go pick up my new S9 Autoset today. I ordered a Quattro FX yesterday. I stopped smoking 2 weeks ago today. I'm not sure how much more I can change at once, but if I think of anything else, I will probably try it.

Wish me luck with everything!

Congratulations! It sounds like you have got the plan in place and excellent support from your fiancee. If you have any questions about your new toy (S9 Autoset) we will be glad to help. I can't wait to get my Quattro FX. I will be picking mine up Friday of next week...

Nice machine, I"m glad you have the software ready. Good luck with the lifestyle change, keep it up. Your gf has my permission to kick your butt if need be to keep you at it. The cpap therapy will hopefully help your diabetes, along with diet. New year, new beginning, her emotional support......I wish you well. john

WAY TO GO!

That is so awesome and inspiring.

They say people choose to change when they are ready to change. You sound ready.

I absolutely love this new machine! Slept very well with it last night. I can not get over how quiet it is. I previously had an M Series cpap and the machine it's self was quiet, but noise came up through the hose. I didn't realize how loud it was until I tried the S9 last night.

I have a question about the S9 for those of you "in the know". The DME said she had set the date/time on it before I picked it up. When I got home and got into the Clinician menu, I saw the date/time was not set, so I set it. When I got up this morning and read the data, it was back to 2008 again. Am I doing something wrong? I set it again this morning, but now it doesn't show any compliance data because it thinks the last time I used it was in '08.

Thanks!

Hi Cybergoon---you do have a great machine!! I just recently got my RS9 Auto set--cannot believe how quiet it is either!! I had to keep opening my mouth to check to see if the thing was even working--hahaha!!

Sounds like you have a PLAN--I have diabetes and lost 25 pounds by controlling it and diet and some Yoga. Keep up the great work--you will get there,

Carrie
