Waveform data missing?

Post by alex a » Wed Jan 05, 2011 5:54 am

I own a system 1 APAP and have noticed that my encore pro software does not display waveform data on a daily basis. is there a setting i need to select to have the data displayed? i checked this am and found waveform for 2 days ago but not last night.

i use the machine about 5-7 hours nightly so i assume there should be enough data for it to be displayed.

i am in APAP mode with a pressure range of 7-10 and using a-flex.

thanks!

I called my DME and he confirmed that System one did not give a wave form. I'm really disappointed.

PS I just reread your post and if you know a way to get the wave form, please let me know.

The PR System One REMstar Auto (model number 550) does record waveforms. So does the System One "Pro" (model number 450). The file is written to the folder on the SD card. I have no clue why the EncorePro software didn't show a waveform one day for you if it is on the card, but I've had that happen to me too. Sometimes if I invented a new patient and then tried viewing it, it would show it that way -- but one particular date never did want to show me waveforms in the software no matter what I tried within EncorePro. Waveforms on the day before and the day after were fine.

I do know that the file is not recorded to the card if the card was left out (I did that by mistake one night) but the other summary data does get recorded (and will be written to the card by the machine when the card is put back in). So if you left your card out by mistake, put it back in, and then tried looking you would not get the waveform.

The topic: "Philips Respironics System One REMstar Pro file format" has more information on looking at the waveform file online.

I just started APAP about 27 days ago and two days ago downloaded all the data into Encore Pro V 2.2.14.0; I have a 550 machine. Only two days had waveform data before I reset the time to my local time instead of the default GMT. Now I have only one day with waveform data. I cleared the data (checked the box that clears the data) and recorded the night before last and got no waveform data; that was for 5.5 hours of recording time. I cleared the one day of data from the card and recorded last night (7.5 hours) and got waveform data. By the way, clearing the data only puts the data in a folder named cleared; it is still on the card. I don't see the pattern yet for getting waveform data. I'm not sure time has anything to do with it as I have many 9 hour nights with no waveform data and the now missing waveform data (after setting my local time) was for about 1.5 hours. The help file and the user manual is no help, only stating that if the waveform data is available, an icon will appear next to the day entry. Not a word about what the criteria is for making available the waveform data.

i rechecked an no waveform data after reinserting the card.

If I erase or clear the data will it still get transferred to the card later i.e. is it on the machine's internal memory? I have a follow-up appt in a couple of months and they will be downloading the info and want to make sure i do not show up with only 2 weeks of data.
