Respironics M series Auto beeps when turned off

Post by zaban3 » Mon Dec 20, 2010 7:09 pm

Several times my machine will beep continuously with lights flashing when I turn it off. I have to unplug it to make it stop. It seems to be working fine. I am wondering why this is happening.

Read the message on the LCD.

First try turning off the humidifier and see if it still beeps. Then try taking the Apap out of the humidifier dock and then reseating it several times. There have been problems with the humidifiers failing and causing the beeps.

I have the same problem and there is no error message while it's beeping. I also unplug it to get it to stop. It makes me nervous that some night it won't work when I turn it on, so I'd be happy to hear what can be done as well.

While plugged in, but not powered on, try removing the smart card and reinserting the smart card. It may not be seated properly. You should hear a confirmation beep, and then it should stop beeping.
