hey guys,
Lately I've been waking up with serious dry mouth. So bad some mornings that I have dry blood on my teeth. I don't know what's going on. I use biotene oral balance and it has been working for months. Now all of a sudden it doesn't seem to be doing anything for me. Anyone know what the problem/solution is? Thanks!

Re: dry mouth
did it start about the time that your furnace kicked in for the winter?
If so, try turning up your humidity.

Re: dry mouth
I used to get dry mouth so bad I thought my teeth were going to fall out. I also couldn't put my tongue on a metal pole in the summer because it would stick with no good way to remove it after sleeping with my cpap. Anyway, this is what I did and I rarely have to drag metal signposts around with me anymore. First, I tried raising the humidity level on my machine, not too great. Then I put a small evaporative humidifier near the bed. This made things better. I also tried to sleep on my side all the time and amazingly this really helped, but dryness was stalking the control volume of my masked environs. The final parry came with the elimination of Benadryl. When it works, it has a tendency to dry. Simply put, I increased the humidity both inside and outside the mask, took two acetaminophen without any Bene, and tried to sleep on my side. This process took me about six weeks to come to, but the superglue guys have long since packed their bags and have moved out.

Re: dry mouth
Are you using a mask or a pillow? If a pillow, there's a chance your mouth is opening during sleep.....try a chin strap. I had to start using one about a year ago and it fixed the dry mouth.
