error code: check tube

Post by PattyC » Sat Dec 11, 2010 6:21 am

Help! My machine as been turning off with this error message. My tech ran the machine with just the hose for 6 hours without it shutting off. She gave it back and said my masks look fine and basically, good luck. I have an old mask and a new mask & it happens with both of them. This has been going on for a week and I basically feel like dog food again. One more thing, this started happening when I had my machine moved from 14 to 16 pressure. The first night, the tech forgot to turn the ramp and EPR back on so that night was shot. I got those settings fixed and now this. Ideas?

When I got my S9 Autoset a few weeks ago, the DME told me that they had had this message on a few machines, so they gave me a heads up about. For a temporary fix, they said that unplugging everything would reset it (which may be why your DME didn't see a problem), but that I needed to call them if it happens. Apparently ResMed had some bad sets, which they are replacing. Maybe the same issue is on your S8. I'd call your DME and provide this info to them and ask them to contact ResMed about it. Good luck!

Is the message check tube key if done?? If so your auto-off is on; which means when there is a high leak the machine shuts off leaving you with that message.

I am not sure if this is going to fix it but I realized that every time they change my machine, features that were set before, get messed up. Why wouldn't the mask setting get changed. It was on "standard" I have a Mirage Full. Maybe that will help me tonite. When you don't sleep well, you don't think well. Thanks for the ideas everyone, if it happens tonite I will definitely be calling on Monday to make sure it isn't a machine issue.
