Have a happy gobble gobble day everyone

For me, it's turkey, creamed spinach w nutmeg, steamed celery w butter, Brussels sprouts w butter & ginger for me, sugar-free cranberry-pecan-orange Jell-O salad, sugar-free 7Up salad, gravy. The rest of the crew can stuff themselves on French bread stuffing, mashed potatoes, mashed sweet pototoes, corn casserole, Chicago hard rolls. Desserts will be pumpkin pie of course, crustless sugar-free pumpkin pie in ramekins with hand-whipped cream, and for my diabetic buddy who's not found of pumpkin a sugar-free apple pie. For the ascetics, there's always vanilla ice cream in the freezer or they can have one of the yummy pears or a Clementine.

And everyone, take the time to be grateful for all the blessings in your life even if appearances show the contrary. Thanks to all of those serving others here and elsewhere in the world, your sacrifices during this holiday enrich all of us.

Now that I am getting someplace with my therapy and the RT at my DME has been absolutely wonderful, my Thanksgiving will be a lot better. I'll need the concentration because I am making a turkey and turkey flavored tofu. I never made anything with tofu so this is a first and could very well be a last but it sure is worth a try. On Sunday I made an incredible standing rib roast so a little balance with tofu is a nice thing to try.

This is a great place and god knows what's happening to all the people who don't have this. The same way we lived exhausted for decades, many of them are not getting optimal therapy.

Happy and alert Thanksgiving to everyone.

Alan

Everyone have a great day tomorrow. Eat what you can and enjoy the family. That is where it's at, the family and friends. Although, that turkey/ham/tofu/whatever, is good too!

Individual Cornish hens, sweet potatoes with butter, mixed vegetables and Pyrogy with sour cream and caramelized onions.
Dessert is pumpkin pie or cherry cheesecake. Happy day to everyone.

I agree. This is the time to sit back and reflect about what we have to be grateful for.

I am grateful to this forum -- without it I know my therapy would be less than optimal.

I am grateful to all my forum friends -- you make my day and are always there with a cheerful thought to brighten one's day.

I am grateful to Johnny and his family for making this forum available to us -- without Johnny we wouldn't be here today.

I am grateful for family and friends.

I am grateful for what I have. I am a firm believer in looking around when I get on the pity pot cause someone always has it worse than me!! I am grateful that I am not walking in those shoes.

Hope everyone has a great holiday and stays safe.
