Very thankful for cpap

Post by adksleepygal » Wed Nov 24, 2010 7:37 am

This morning my AHI was 1.0 . That is amazing and I slept 7.7 hrs! I am so thankful for cpap as I count my blessings. Even more so I am very thankful for the good people here who have been encouraging and instructive to me. I have worked out a lot of kinks with your help. I actually feel fantastic today and I would never have guessed I could feel this great ever again. I now look forward to bedtime when it comes as a time of healing for me - I truly believe it is.
Wishing everyone a blessed Thanksgiving and many many thanks to all of you for pushing me; I would not be at this point without you all.

I had an AHI of 1.0 and have never felt so comfortable and connected to my mask.
The amazing part was the dreams.
I had at least 4 dream sessions....that I remember...in color.
Not just color but vivid color.

When I did get up, as soon as the feet hit the floor, I felt like something was different.
I walked into my office and opened the blinds..........and
the sky was so blue. More blue than I can ever remember.
Even the lazy days going to college in Grand Junction, laying on the banks
of the canal, when I thought there could never be a bluer sky.
Today, it was.

As I left for my bike ride, I felt different.
Everything around me seemed to be alive and more clear.
All the colors were brighter and sharper.
I felt stronger. I was more patient on the climbs.
I stopped at the top of the 128 grade and just took in the feeling and view.
As I stood there and felt my new life pounding in my chest and
looked out at the FlatIrons, I just couldn't get over how blue the sky was.

I crossed over some threshold.
I made it past another mile stone in my recovery process.
I said a blessing out loud, for God and the Universe to hear.

All things for a reason.
If this is my reason for OSA.....to know the pain, fatigue, depression and despair,
and then to be blessed w/cpap, and to know, feel and live this miracle of recovery
......then I am truly blessed.

As always, my thanks include this cpaptalk family.
Without all of your help, I would not be living the miracle that I am.
For all of you that have helped, posted and supported me...

Salude!
