REMstar setup question

Post by yardbird » Sat Nov 19, 2005 8:30 am

yeah I know... another question about a machine I don't have yet...
I read the manual online and it didn't say anything about being able to change settings from the panel. For instance... simply switching from auto to CPAP mode. Or enable/disable c-flex. Or SET c-flex amount. Things like that. Is it ONLY possible to do this through the software?

If so... there's another $100 I had planned on holding off for a bit. Plus the reader (which I'll order from china rather than pay $140 for the same thing from Respironics)

I wish there was a trial version you could use for a while. And it's a good thing I retained the ability to boot to windowsXP. (I'm a linux user).

Just trying to be prepared. Thanks for helping.

It's all adjustable through the control panel on the machine.

The Clinician's manual explains how to make changes to the machine through the machine's display. The User manual, as you pointed out, does not.

I bought my Remstar through cpap.com and it came with the manual. The DME from whom I rented the machine previously didn't/wouldn't provide it.

Seems to me I once saw a link to a copy on this forum. Maybe someone with better memory can post it again for you.
