1 Year Anniversary! Whoo Hooo!!!!

Post by BrianR4743 » Thu Nov 18, 2010 8:54 pm

Today I celebrate 1 full year of CPAP therapy and 100% compliance. As with most newbies, I first wrestled with sleepless nights, twisted hoses, rainout, chinstraps, Poligrip, tape and frustration. This forum was the greatest find for me, and kept me hopeful through the tough times. Now, I've got my routine down and look forward to strapping in for a great night's sleep (avg 2.5 AHI).

Thanks to all who have contributed opinions, encouragement, ideas, experience and wisdom here. It was truly you folks who helped me through it and made an intolerable treatment very tolerable. Most importantly, thanks for helping me to get healthy.

November is my one year anniversary also and I feel the same way as you do.
100% compilant and feeling soooo much better.
I'm sure I wouldn't be where I am now if not for this forum.
C-pap rock, if you really need it. It's great to make it through a day with no nap, and the brain fog gone.

Congratulations to you also.

Thanks for the post, Brian.

It's good to hear about success like yours. I am halfway into my second month without missing a night but it has not always been easy to do. Frustrating at times but it has been getting easier. There are actually some nights now when I sleep right through for over seven hours!

It would be nice to hear how long some others have been successful at compliance. Are there some real long timers out there? What was your experience like?

Keep it up, Brian, and glad to hear you are feeling better!

This is my third week and its driving me mental Have tried three different masks and last night the total face mask was ok !! But the dam hose kept making weird popping noises? whats that all about?? Anyway kept up the good work for all us Newbies out here.

Congrats Brian. Next week will be my 1 year and like you 100% compliant. No problems at all, I am amazed at how much better I feel now. To anyone reading this that is struggling with getting tested GO FOR IT. You will be amazed at how your quality of life can improve. Most people have to hit bottom B4 they act, well it will not get any better face it. Your choice is to continue as you are or face it you have a problem and the solution is out there.

Used it every night for at least 4 hours (insurance requirement). About 4 hours is where I started. For the most part 8+ hours per night.

Dear Brian, Jazzer, and Cotech 50,

Congratulations on your one year anniversary! I'm sure that it hasn't always been easy, but look where you are right now. You should be very proud (and alert )!

Warmly,

Jersey Girl
