As you know I have sa along with my mom,aunt and brother it is my aunt who shocked me when she stated that her oxygen levels drop even while awake,how is that possoble?she uses oxygen also with cpap.

Your aunt could have asthma, COPD or another lung condition. She could have allergies. She could be morbidly obese restricting her breathing capability. She could have Central Apnea (the brain "forgets" to tell her to breathe) ....

It may be that she needs oxygen in the daytime as well.

I have asthma/COPD,sinus problems and my 02 levels are never higher than mid-90's. I think the magic number for needing oxgen is 88 or below consistently, not sure.

I was told after my sleep study that anything below 92 starts to effect brain function. Might be there is no hard and fast number for this though. BTW, mine hit a low of 54 during the study.
