Changed to a humidifier and have a question.

Post by Enaila » Sat Nov 06, 2010 5:15 am

I recently got a cpap machine with a humidifier and I like it. However it doesn't feel like it's putting out as much pressure as my last machine even though they both are set at the same pressure. Has this happened to anyone else or should I try adjusting the pressure?

hello, In response to your question, the pressure should be and feel the same if it was correctly entered. If not take your machine to the DME and have them check the pressure to make sure it is putting out the correct amount of air. I hope this will help you, I would reccomend not to make any adjustments to the machine as this can trigger more episodes.

In general, make sure the humidifier door is closed. I noticed a severe pressure loss one night when I started my evening with it left open.
