That makes a lot of sense to me. I know when i use nasal pillows my nose gets scrunched up and seems to stay that way. so now i am using a ffm and and my nasal pillow( 2 nights with each) and the problems seems to not be so "bad".

Hmmm, sounds like a tempest in a teapot to me, but then I use nasal pillows and not a "nasal mask" so nothing is pushing against my jaw.

Quite frankly, I have often wondered why people use nasal masks at all since nasal pillows are much more comfortable, and markedly less intrusive.

It's all relative. I think that the nasal mask I have is more comfortable than the pillows but the pillows allow me more freedom and I can tolerate the slight discomfort from them.

I couldn't stand anything pushing in my nose. i can see any mask strapped to your face as making small changes in face structure. Maybe if the mask could be custom made, it could provide a free face lift. Jim

If anyone feels like their nose is scrunched up like Miss Piggy with Swift FX or LT nasal pillows, THE MASK IS TOO TIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!

My FX is so light on the face that there's no way it can be altering facial structure, but when I was using the Mirage Micro and other nasal masks I could definitely see that happening.

The only thing is that I have noticed I do tend to stick out my upper lip just slightly to support the FX when I move around. So maybe I'll end up looking like Daffy Duck instead of Miss Piggy. Quack!

actually I can believe this to some extent. Before switching to pillows, the years of nasal mask use started to take its toll on my gums of my upper teeth, see older masks were a firmer plastic and not this silicon gell stuff that is so fragile so I used to use Moleskin on my masks to get them to seal.. I have horridly oily skin and nothing else worked. 2 hours into sleep the oil of my skin make the masks leak... when I no longer could get the older masks and had to go to the newer *gels* the adhesive of the mole skin tore em up so I no longer had my nice seal, (wish id have thought about liners!) not finding a better solution I ended up tightening the masks, Which made it press down on my upper lip bad sometimes, Cause i would also roll over and press my face into the pillow to stop leaks,
My gums started to crawl upwards!! The dentist insists its gum disease but is stumped why there's no evidence of it else wear.. Duh! Lol they are recovering a bit now that I use pillows but he said they will probably never go back to *normal* but at least my teeth aren't lose anymore.
