OT- Thoughts and Prayers

Post by ched03 » Mon Oct 25, 2010 6:06 am

I just wanted to ask a favor of you all. My son is going in for a Sweat Test tomorrow to see if he has Cystic Fibrosis. Ever since he was about 6 months old he has had recurring both in the lungs and in his sinuses. He was diagnosed with Asthma at age two after being hospitalized. Ever since then, his coughing has been pretty much under control but not to the extent that his doctor would like to see it. At his last check-up I described to his doctor how he has been coughing quite a bit at night and is having a hard time sleeping again. We also talked about how he has not gained any weight since being hospitalized in July of 2009. There is not history of CF on my or my husbands side of the family but the doctor just wants to rule out all possibilities. I really don't think that he has it but there is always a chance. If you could just keep us in your thoughts and prayers I would really appreciate it. He is one tough, strong willed little boy and I know he will be fine.

Sound like my son at that age. After 7 yrs of asthma meds and such he was found to have pseudomonas. They feel he got it at the hospital. Treated him with several meds and he has been fine ever since! They found it by testing the mucous he coughed up.
Hopefully they will find something similar(easily treatable) with your son.

Brenda

Hi, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I will stop what I"m doing right now and pray for him.
I truly hope he will be fine, the coughing will go away and tests will show nothing at all.
GOD can take care of this if we just pray and trust in him.
may GOD BLESS YOU and your family.

May the Good Lord, Our Father in Heaven, keep a watchful eye and and loving hand on your son and your family. Prayers are being sent to your family. The power of prayer.
