Swift FX Nasal Pillows

Post by tMC » Mon Oct 18, 2010 1:00 pm

How often do you change your nasal pillows out? I have been on mine for less than 2 months and I just got a new one from my supplier. I feel my old one is just breaking in so I am thinking of keeping the new one for a spare for awhile.

What has been your experience with changing out your nasal pillows?

I have the Swift LT and have been using it for 8 months. I am on my second set of pillows now. I don't think that I really needed to switch them out when I did at about 4-6 months (not sure when) but since I had another set, I just did. The set that I am currently using seem fine still. No increased leaks, discoloration or changes in shape.

I've been using mine since August 30 and have no reason to change them out yet. I do have back up pillows.

Dear TMC,

My first set of Swift FX nasal pillows lasted around 5 months. After that I was having trouble getting a good seal - they were thin and soft and flimsy. So, I changed out the nasal pillow. Still using the rest of the mask, though, even though I now have 2 masks on standby.

Regards,

Jersey Girl

Thanks for the feedback. I had no real idea what to look for as a reason to replace my current pillow. It appears to be in good shape still. I have no leak, no discoloration, etc. Sounds like I will keep this new one as a spare for a few more months and keep using the same old one until it stops working correctly.
