chin straps
ok well i finally got around to trying the ffm last night and looking at my leaks i don't think we are a good fit. i really like the pillows and want to try a new chinstrap. i mouth breathe and don't think i'll find the perfect ffm. it's good now cause i'm sick but not sure long term. i am looking at the papcaps and notice there is the reg. one and the plus one. for those that have tried it which do you prefer? is there anyother chinstrap that you have tried that works? a lady at the sleep clinic said the newer ones have a hole in the chin part so your chin sits nicely in it and then you do it up around the top of your head. the one i have is just a strap that sucks.

Re: chin straps
The papcap plus has straps for connecting a mask. The other is only for a chinstrap. I have one, and it is a very good chinstrap, really works well. However, I have a pretty small head, and, in spite of sewing tucks in the cap, it slips around on my head and sometimes ends up over my eyes. It's definitely worth trying. I have tried other chin straps, but none worked as well for me. Mine is the plus version, but because it slides around on my head, I cannot use it to attach a mask.

Re: chin straps
Irene, do you have the original PapCap Plus, or the new one that came out in July?
Here's a link to modifications I made to the newer one:

I have found that I do prefer the neoprene straps rather than the PapCap Plus straps (nice to have that little bit of stretch) so have replaced them, with straps cut off my Resmed headgear.
This is an older thread, where I made modifications to the original PapCap Plus:

Katie, I do have the newer version of the papcap. I just have a very small head. Thanks for the links. I will look them over for ideas.
