Mask Leak

Hello all, long time reader, first time poster. I have two different full masks (one is resmed, the other is phillips, and have the phillips machine) and have been tracking the nights with the encore viewer software. Every night it says that there is about a 27% leak, it is the about the same every night no matter which mask I use (well not exactly the same byt 26.8-27.5% leak) I was just wondering is that 27% coming from the natural mask vents, or does the software compensate for the vents and I am actually losing that air when I should not. Though at least I am still achieving an AHI of about .5, so at least it is still doing its work.

For the Respironics (or Phillips Respironics) machines... the mask leak shown should relate closely to the intentional mask leak listed in the paperwork that you got with your masks.

To be able to guess more... would need the following information: 1.) what is the pressure that you're running at, and 2.) what are the actual names of the masks that you're using.
