New Avatar (if anyone cares)

Post by Julie » Fri Oct 08, 2010 7:32 am

Those are Cody and Jesse, no longer around, but I miss them so much it's awful! They were not just 'dogs' but the most splendiferous wonderful spectacular guys on the planet. That's all.

Hi Julie

They look terrific, and I can guess how much you miss them.

I must admit I did like your cat. Maybe you can do a photoshop, and we can have the pleasure of seeing all three.

cheers

The cat will return... but I've been wanting to show off the guys for a while, so they're here for today.

Show them off! They are very handsome fellows! I know you miss them a lot.

I have a picture of my Pumpkin (in the avatar with Pepper his sister) as my computer desktop so I can see him every time I go to my computer! We lost Pumpkin in March.

Oh, I'm so sorry! He looks a lot like our Snagglepuss of 30 yrs ago. Why can't we keep them forever (besides in our hearts)?

Is this Julie who lives near me? They don't look anything like the last crop of dogs I saw at your house! What a change!

Cheers,
B.

Beautiful pups.... you have a 'thing' for white fur???? LOL!
Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

Dear Julie,

They are such beautiful dogs! I used to have a North American Eskimo dog. He lived to be 17 1/2. I still miss him too.

Warmly,

Jersey Girl

Ha ha... The white fur thing! I have thought about it how un-PC it must seem, but of course none of them were 'on purpose' to say the least, certainly not Goblin who was stuck in my face by that crazy at the supermkt one day (and who I had no choice but to rescue!), and Sammies just come in white, 'biscuit' (whatever that is.. never actually seen one) and that's about it. Never, ever planned to get them anyhow, not with the 4 cats and a bunny we had at the time. However, they became indispensable about 2 mins after being home and that was that. Anyone who's ever had one of them will tell you how fantastic they are and I even miss being dragged around at 'mushing' speed by them. Definitely a sucker! Oh, and don't forget my other cat Ecco who's pitch black - a total little terror of a Bombay - because he's really the head of this household (or so he thinks) now, but I just can't post his pic because the ones I have are in some dumb extension that won't convert (long story).

I caught my breath when I saw that photo! Magnificent! I can see why you miss them so much. We had a beautiful German Shepard for 13 years many years ago and I still miss her. She was definitely more to us than "just a dog". Thanks for the memories.
