Greetings,
I have used a cpap machine for several years, successfully. I recently moved to a 7000 ft elevation
and have started having central apnea. I went in for a sleep study and was told I have every apnea you can
have and was having an AHI of 36. I was ordered a bi-pap with a prescription of 23 over 16. My sleep varies
very much. Sometimes my AHI is 8 and last night it was 11.5. I still feel like someone hit me in the back of the
head with a brick (minus the pain, just the resulting sensation). Does anyone know how to cope or have any suggestions.
My insurance ran out and I don't know what to do.

Re: Need central apnea help (bipap)
I just noted this. I am not familiar with the approaches to solve this, but if your reasearch "altitude" in the SEARCH for CPAPtalk.com, you should find some suggestions.
You can also research using your search engine by entering "high altitude apnea".
Hope that helps.
