I have had absolutly the best week since I started with CPAP. I had been chasing my AI AHI up and down, leaks all over the place then one day I guess my brain finally decided (hey Im getting plenty of air) but suddenly I have had a whole week of 0.0 AHI I checked my machine and all of the settings are good nothing out of the norm. I have a bunch of energy, I have been getting my honey do's knocked out, and still have time to exercise and work a 10hour day. this is great, just had to share

Re: BEST WEEK SO FAR
Congratulations!! What an inspiration your story is for other newbies. I have not had an AHI of 0.0, but I am very happy with my 0.4 and 0.8 I had this week and all the others under 2! I am still waiting for the energy kick-in, but I do have more stamina each day. I can't wait to begin exercising again!
Best wishes for continued success.... so happy you found your sweet spot and can settle into your therapy routine now!

Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

Re: BEST WEEK SO FAR
Chris,
many congratulations and much jelousy---not so much over the AHI (mine range from 0.2 to 1.7), but for the increased energy. During the day I'm still orders of magnitude more sleepy and tired and worn out (even when first awaking) than I was before starting CPAP.
And to Emilia concerning exercising: Well the only way I'm succeeding in falling asleep by 2:30 or 3:00 am is to do 30-60 minutes of yoga each night. Hadn't done yoga in a couple of years, but on night 4 I was so desperate to get my brain to relax so that I could face going to bed, I decided yoga might help. And it has. Doing the yoga is letting me get about 5 1/2 hours of decent (but not great) sleep every night (with the CPAP on the whole time) instead of tossing and turning for several hours before being able to fall into a not very restful sleep with the CPAP on. So at least my major muscles are now all getting properly stretched out.
