What do you want the new software to do, extra, play mp3's maybe. Sometimes new software is more buggy than the older versions. Jim

I use VLC to play my videos and mp3s.

I can't get mine to work. My computer won't recognize my meter. Contacting the company was a waste of time because I bought mine used.

You might try a older version of the software, the newest does have a problem. I bought mine from Cooper Medical Supply, so I could find a human if I needed help, good people are hard to find. They go out of their way to help their customers. Jim

Why new software...

Ok, so do you use WIN 3.0 or better, while older, WIN 2.0. But new Software are mory buggy...oh my Good.

I'm 30 years in computer business, but I have never heard such a waste. Sorry for my direkt answer.

I was using Win 7, six months before the RTM version, but I started writing programs with a Commodore 64, I have some really old diodes and Top Hat Transistors Gold Transistors from Bell Labs. maybe I could build that Win 2 computer, I probably wouldn't have to use a 1,000 Power Supply like I built into this unit.

Will Win 2 support mp3, that's a must. Jim

I would just be so happy to find out how to get my computer to recognize my meter. I asked the rep if I needed new driver and my answer was just a simple no.

Maybe the problem isn't with the computer but with the meter? Do you have another computer (family, friend's) that you can try?

Also, I was watching this video on the CMS-50E (different model) and it says you must use the USB cable that came with the oximeter because its wired differently than a normal USB cable. Sure you are using the original cable that came with the unit? Maybe the same thing applies to the CMS-50F:

Hi, NO, the cable is standart. I use my cable that lay on my desk for camera, harddisk and so on.

Very importend is, FRIST install software, than plug the CMS-50F. If you do so, tht plugged first and then installed the software, plese uns an OTHER USB-Port! For an computer, each USB-Port is on extra device.

Please try this: when software ist installed, plug Oximeter to an other USB-Port on your computer, Good luck!!

I got my CMS-50F today... v1.0 of the software came on the CD. I had to do the following to get any data to show up

1) Put the meter in record mode and let it run for a while
2) Turn OFF record mode, then run ON upload mode
3) Hookup the meter, run the Sp02 Review application.

Does the LED on the side of the wrist unit light up when you plug it into the computer?

One thing I CAN'T figure out - how the wrist strap works. I can't make it tight enough!

Actually I have the CMS 50E. I figured the software was the same. I am just not smart enough to make it work. It is a shame.

I also had the same problem, so I put some sports tape just a little on each side of the rubber finger clip on the bottom so
its taped on two sides to my finger..

then I taped the wire to my wrist.. then the wrist band could slide up and down on my arm and the clip never came dislodged..

works like a charm.. ..
