Need advice with battery hookup

I have a Resmed s9 autoset with the H5i humidifier. I just purchased an 85-105amp hour gel cell deep cycle battery and a 400w modified sine wave inverter. My question is if I can use the H5i humidifier with this hookup. I thought I read in the resmed info, that I could, but I am not positive about that, and I have read other places that you shouldn't use a modified sine wave with a humidifier. Does someone have some advice on that? I would hate to try it and ruin my humidifier!

I do not use my humidifier it takes too much power. I would rather be safe than sorry and run my battery down too fast. I can get 3 nights out of my set up when I don't run the humidifier. My battery and modified sine wave inverter are about the same as yours and they work great.

Yes, you can use your H5i humidifier with it. The H5i runs on DC voltage supplied by the S9, and using modified sine wave AC power for the S9 is fine.

Depending on your particular settings you may find that using the humidifier signifcantly reduces the time you can run using battery power, but in any case with that size battery you would still be OK for at least one full night, even with everything on maximum settings.

Resmed says they will have a DC converter for direct operation of an S9 from a ~12V DC battery available before the end of this year.

Resmed had also said they would have it out by this camping season too, that by the way has passed.

I have a modified sinewave converter in my motorhome with two deep cycle kirklands that work like a hot damn. I use my humidifier in passover though.
